Annika's Birthday Parties

The Official Birthday Invitation to Our Friends and Family:

We're doing 2 birthday parties. One in Logan and one in Ogden.

The one in Logan will be at Casper's Ice Cream at 3pm on Saturday, the 18th of July. That one is also a birthday party for Kelly's Grandma Sugar.

The party in Ogden is at my parent's house on Saturday, the 25th of July. We haven't decided on a time, but it will most likely be at 3 or 4. I'll adjust this post when we make a decision.

Drinking Juice

11 Months Old

We are so close so big changes! One month and Anni gets whole milk instead of formula and gets to ride in a front facing car seat. She loves cheese in all forms. String cheese is her favorite, and Mama's favorite for her to eat because it doesn't end up all over her like the grated cheese did here.

She's walks around furniture and will take a few steps with help, but doesn't like to. She jabbers and almost seems to have put words to people. Mama and Dada, of course, Papa for Grandpas, Nana for Grandmas, but those two aren't very reliable yet. It's hit or miss, so I don't think she's really figured it out completely.

Alaska!

I've been meaning to post this for a week, so sorry about that! It's been busy and Anni hasn't wanted to let Kelly or me out of her sight! When we first picked her up, she wasn't sure what to do. She just stared at us with a smile, then crawled back and forth between us for the rest of the day. Grandma LeAnn taught her to play patty cake, it's just darling.

10 Months Old

Annika is her mother's daughter. Our girl loves dirt, grass, and just generally being outside. She likes to feed herself and to eat with everyone at dinnertime, but isn't a big fan of mashed potatoes yet.

Family Pictures

For my Mother's Day gift, I wanted family pictures. One of my good friends from high school, Lyndee, offered to take some for us. She did a great job, although Kelly doesn't like how he looks. These are a few of my favorites.

9 Month Pediatrician Visit

Annika is as healthy as a horse. She's 27 3/4 inches tall and weighs 17.4 pounds. She's totally average on her height and head size, but weighs less than 3/4 of the baby girls her age. We're allowed to start giving her eggs, cheese, and yogurt now.

She got another flu shot and only cried until Kelly picked her up, but we had to get her finger pricked to get her iron level tested and she cried for a long time over that one. We haven't heard anything back from that test, so her iron level is fine.

It always makes me smile when nurses and technicians that work with children every day stop and tell us that our baby is beautiful.

We have Anni's one year appointment and then we'll be in Portland and will have to find another pediatrician.
